When our oldest turned 4, it really hit me! My tiny itty bitty baby has become a big boy! How did his legs get so long? When did he start having these in depth conversations? How in the world did the days and years pass by in the blink of an eye? Surely we must be in a time machine right? Alas, it happened right in front of me! If you are planning a party to celebrate your soon to be 4 year old here are a few fun and active options to keep the guests moving and having tons of fun!

1. Use your Noodle - Grab pool noodles from your local dollar store and cut them in half so that each party guest has one to use as a tool! Find a basket or empty round container as the "goal." Scatter balloons around the area and instruct your participants to get the balloon into the basket to score a goal! Make sure you grab your camera and get ready to giggle. Secret: Let them try for a few minutes before you encourage them to find a partner and work together to lift the balloon in the basket. Encouraging team work and hand eye coordination in a fun game? You go mom!

2. Scavenger Hunt - You can use a template like this awesome nature example or get creative and tailor it to a theme or idea from party i.e. animals, dinosaurs, trucks, etc. Print these off at home for a fun way to keep party guests busy and active. Prepare a simple gift once completed that can double as a party favor. Another great aspect of this printable is that it can be used outside of birthday party!

3. Art Station - Most activities with kids are best when you don't overthink it! Like this simple art station where kids can have a drink, sit down, and recharge. Simple table decor to match the theme of party, cups for each guest, and blank paper and crayons keep it simple and adorable! Go the extra step with coloring sheets and stickers and impress even the littlest guest!
