Oh goodness! Where do I begin? Well, I’m Kat and I go by they/them pronouns. I’m originally from Ohio, but as of right now, I reside in good ol’ Oklahoma! Gaming and content creation is something I’ve always had a massive passion for since I was a little kid. I remember being around six or seven years old when I saw my first gaming console, which, believe it or not, was a PS2. My mom was big into the Muppets, and they had a videogame called Muppets Party Cruise, which is basically a version of Mario Party, but Muppets. My mom and I played it quite a bit and got to bond over it, and slowly, my love of gaming just grew.
Content creation came to me around four to five years ago. I had just gotten my PC at the time and a great friend of mine, TyMcMuffin, introduced me to his friends that played Destiny at the time and is also a content creator himself. Soon after, I was introduced to TSAN – short for Twitch Streamers and Networking, where I got more involved, learned about the broadcast software OBS and a bunch of other extensions and got heavily into it. I really enjoyed being able to entertain others!
I started playing Destiny back in the early D1 days. At the time, I was with a partner who didn’t care for me as a human being. I often went to work, came home, made dinner and played Prison of Elders until I couldn’t see. I’d shower afterwards and just rinse and repeat after that. Back then in those days, I didn’t have anyone to play with, so soloing content became a regular thing for me, and I loved it.
The largest thing I like to focus on is the TowerLFG server, which I helped start. This is a looking-for-group Discord server that allows people of all ages and all skill levels to come together and bring endgame content to those of us that may be unable to find regular fire teams. Accessibility and the “everyone can play” motto is something that I hold dearly, and it means the world that people can come together and bring harder content to people such as myself.
Oh goodness. I’m a Warlock-main through and through. She’s been my baby since I’ve come to PC and I haven’t put her down since. My favorite loadout is usually Witherhoard, Funnelweb, and Ascendancy. :P Allows for some pretty great add-clear, if you ask me!
My channel, and the TowerLFG channel, strive to being accepting of anyone involved. We are free of discrimination and hate (no tolerance), and we are full of fun, life and happiness. We’re a very close-knit community, which is great, and I call everyone in the Discord or even a follower on Twitter or Twitch, “Family.”
I’ve mostly just been helping with the Duality dungeon or Vow of the Disciple where I can and spending a lot of time in voice chat getting closer with my community.
In a world where hatred is rampant, be the light at the end of the tunnel. Be the smile someone needed. Be free and yourself unapologetically.
And if you ever need a friend, my DMs are always open and the TowerLFG is waiting with open arms. You are cared for. You are loved, and you matter.
